Community Mutual Support Network

Program Introduction

The “Community Mutual Support Network” of the People Service Centre aims to establish a community mutual aid platform connecting residents and groups in the area by activities and programs. It targets to solve common needs through residents’ participation to arouse public awareness and advance advocacy of policy changes.

Environmental Community Program

The program is implemented in Lok Man San Tsuen and Ka Wai Estate of Hung Hom. It encourages residents to actively participate in community recycling and environmental protection, by organize interesting workshops and outdoor activities to enhance residents’ environmental friendly awareness.

Learning Support Program for Caregivers and School Children

The project promotes mental well-being among low-income families in Kowloon City by providing homework guidance for children through matching of volunteers, organizes mental health and stress reduction activities for family caregivers and children.

“Food Friends Action”at Kowloon City funded by Environment and Conservation Fund

The project serves the residents of Kowloon City District. Surplus food in the District are collected regularly and distribute to those in need within the district.

Nutrition Support Program

The project is a cross-sectoral collaboration of “social, welfare, and medical” sectors which aims to serve the residents of subdivided units in Kowloon City. Through a series of nutrition education and support services, children’s nutrition and health are improved, and families have built a mutual support network successfully.
