Project Introduction<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n

In 2021, the People Service Centre, the Hong Kong Community Dietitians Association (HKCDA)<\/span><\/a> and the Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care of the Chinese University of Hong Kong<\/span><\/a> collaborated to start the pilot project of a community mobile nutrition clinic. It targets to support less resource household\u2019s children and their family member with nutrition deficiency issues. The mobile clinic takes care of their nutrition needs by helping the parent to rise their children with proper nutrition knowledge and diet so as to reduce their risk of disease. <\/p>\r\n\r\n

This project also integrates research, service provision and education as a service approach: <\/p>\r\n

    \r\n
  1. Keep collecting nutrition data of less rescource household\u2019s children to build up a database of it over the years, which can be used for future analysis of service needs and policy directions;<\/li>\r\n
  2. provide tailor-made services for each less resource family and their children with unique nutrition improvement programs; and <\/li>\r\n
  3. strengthen family nutrition education and support through the cooperation of dietitians and social workers to meticulously improve the health condition of the children and their family members.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

    3. Increase social and government attention to food and nutrition issues for less recource children<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n
