Introduction<\/b><\/h3>\n

The program uses multi and cross-sectoral collaboration model, which mobilize “community, business, school” by organizing residents in Tsz Wan Shan to cooperate with local shops and social welfare organizations to jointly establish a “resident participation-based” food mutual aid system. By participating in the project, residents experience a role transformation from service users to volunteers.\u00a0 In the end, self-programing volunteer groups are created to support the hidden older persons and families in need in the community.<\/span><\/p>\n

The operating expenses of the scheme is funded by the Community Investment and Inclusion Fund<\/u><\/strong><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Goals<\/b><\/h3>\n

  1. Ride on the strengths of collaborating partners to support the needs of less resource families<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Promote the transformation of less resource family members into volunteers who could continue to participate in the community<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Foster mutual trust relationship to co-create mutual benefits between youth and less resource families<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Service content<\/b><\/h3>\n
      \n
    1. Community Engagement and Service
      \nRecruit residents in the community through activities such as food support services, street booth, food and nutrition-related interest classes, and build up a neighbourhood support network
      \n<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. Food Mutual Aid Network
      \nOrganise various volunteer teams for food distribution, which include “bulk food donation collection team”, “bread collection team”, “soup delivery team” and parent-child visit team.
      \n<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. Intergenerational Support Network
      \nSecondary school students are led by tertiary school students to plan community services and build a cross-generational support network between students and residents
      \n<\/span><\/li>\n
    4. Cross-groups collaboration platform
      \nStudent volunteers, neighbourhood volunteer teams and social welfare groups in the community cooperate to plan community and public education activities to promote the community development.

    5. Arrange matching visits
      \nVolunteers connect hidden older persons and needy families in the district by food distribution to build a neighbourhood support network.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
